What’s behind the name SYNEWAVE?
SYNEWAVE is the convergence of several dominant thoughts. With my formative years sailing on the Norfolk Broads and later on the North Sea, learning to play the piano, through a career in technology, a forever fascination with light and sound and movement, and study of martial arts I found an undeniable connections with the Sine Wave form and periodic motion.

In navigation it is how sailors were able to sail the seven seas. In Tae Kwon-Do it is how practitioners generate power and impact. In electronics, a sine wave UPS smooths voltage fluctuations (spikes, surges, or sags) to protect electronic devices.
A sine wave, or sinusoidal wave, is the most natural representation of how many things in nature change state. A sine wave shows how the amplitude of a variable changes with time. The variable could be audible sound for example.
In trigonometry, the use of Sine, Cosine, Tangent, Cotangent, Secant, and Cosecant allow us to find a dimension that we didn’t know. The height of a tree for example, the distance to the moon, a missing angle.
The name also aligns itself to ‘Synergy’ where an interaction or collaboration gives rise to a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts.
With the rapid pace of life today we all need something to smooth out the spikes, keep us making the right notes, and discover another dimension that we can embrace.
